1. What is Ultimate Explorer?

The Ultimate Explorer is cheap stand alone 32-bit software utility which allows to read and write designs to/from various embroidery cards using Ultimate Box hardware (see below). If you own the Ultimate Box hardware, and you need just an easy software for transferring designs to/from embroidery cards, then Ultimate Explorer might be the best solution for you. Alternative is to buy our Embird software, which also supports Ultimate Box hardware, however, if you don't need other Embird's features (converting designs, editing designs, lettering, digitizing, etc.), then Ultimate Explorer is economical choice for you.

Note: This software is NOT plug-in for Embird. It is stand alone utility which is alternative to Embird's Ultimate Box+ menu. After puchasing this software, you will NOT receive the Ultimate Box (hardware), only the registration password in e-mail for enabling your copy of the software. This software runs ONLY on PC with connected Ultimate Box; it will not run without this hardware.

Warning: This software supports USB version of box only, it does not support the serial port version of Ultimate Box, even if used with USB adapter. 2. What is Ultimate Box?

The Ultimate Box is a read/write device that transfers embroidery designs from the hard drive of your computer to a re-writable blank embroidery card that fits your Brother, Babylock, Bernina Deco, Simplicity, White and Viking/Husqvarna embroidery machines. The 2-slot Ultimate Box also supports the cards for Pfaff and Bernina Artista embroidery machines. The Ultimate Box writes up to 230.000 stitches to the Amazing/Magic and Brother 512 Kilobyte (4 Megabit) blank cards. The Ultimate Box writes over 450.000 stitches to the Ultimate Card. It reads and saves designs back to the hard drive of your computer from the above cards and most pre-programmed design cards (except licensed design cards). The box connects with a cable to the USB port of your computer. More information about Ultimate Box available at http://www.vikant.net.

3. What Will I Obtain After Purchasing Ultimate Explorer?

Please note, that we do not sell the Ultimate Box (hardware), only the Ultimate Explorer (software). After receiving confirmation about your payment for the software, we will send you a registration password in e-mail, which will unlock your copy of Ultimate Explorer software. You can download and install Ultimate Explorer right now, using the link below. However, unless you insert the correct registration password, this software will be disabled and it will not allow you to read/write embroidery cards.


4. Which Embroidery Cards are Supported in Ultimate Explorer?

The list of supported memory cards is identical with the list of cards supported by Embird, so read the Supported Memory Cards in Embird with Ultimate Box section.


5. Download Ultimate Explorer Software

Click here to download the Ultimate Explorer, version 1.0 released on December 21, 2006.

When the downloading is finished, run the downloaded file on your PC (which has Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP Home or XP Professional [32-bit] as an operating system) via "Start > Run" command and follow the steps displayed on the screen to install this software.


6. Pay Registration Fee to Unlock Your Copy of Ultimate Explorer

Before you pay the registration fee, please download and install this software on your PC to make sure it runs correctly and it recognizes your Ultimate Box. Then click here to pay the registration fee US $25. After receiving confirmation about your payment we will send you in e-mail the registration password (usually within one working day) which will unlock your copy of software.
