Object Inspector

The main features of Object Inspector are described in Main Window chapter.

Right click on selected object or objects in Object Inspector to access a pop-up menu for operations with selected objects (see image below).

Join and Group. These separate commands do exactly the same thing. They are designed to cluster several objects into a single item in Object Inspector, making the components of a design easier to identify. They behave as a single object when moved, rotated, or transformed.

The Join and Group commands are intended for making two independent types of clustering. For example, use Join to cluster parts of letters and Group to cluster letters into line.

Objects combined with the Join command are displayed with a small lock icon. They can be separated with the Split command. Those combined with the Group command are shown with a larger lock icon; use Ungroup to separate these elements.

To select and manipulate joined and grouped objects, use the Part Inspector window beneath the Object Inspector window. It is not possible to select these parts directly on the Working Area.

To change sewing order of objects in Object Inspector, select an object with a right click and drag it to its new position in the list. Then release the right button and, from the menu that appears, choose whether the selection should be placed Before or After the item
