How to Make Fill Object Click on the Fill Object button (marked with red arrow) to activate the Fill creation mode. Then left click on working area to place first point. The Stitches Angles Indicator will appear with the node. The longest line indicates the angle of cover stitches, the medium line indicates the first zig-zag underlay angle and the shortest line indicates the second zig-zag underlay angle. The first point itself is always marked by small cross. If an object was created before this Fill, it is not necessary to make the first point. It will appear automatically as the last point of previous object when the Fill Object button is selected. Move the first point to a new position, if the new Fill is not to touch the previous object.
Now left click on the Working Area to create another element, which will be a curve element. The small circle is the middle point of curve, which can be moved later to adjust the curve.
Make series of left mouse clicks to form the boundary
of object. Do not use too many clicks. With curves the shape of the
object can quite easily be created with a few nodes.
Grasp the middle points of curves (small circles) and adjust curves . Please note: It is not necessary to create all elements before adjusting curves. Add elements, adjust nodes, add mode nodes, in any order, just so the final result looks like picture below.
To change the angle of cover stitches, press the P key on the keyboard and move the mouse at the same time to adjust the angle of longest line of the angles indicator.
Next define the Fill End Point - the place, where actual stitching will end. If not defined, the first point is also the Fill End Point. Left click on any node (small rectangles) to select it and right click to access a pop-up menu. Use Place Fill End Point Here function. The Fill End Point cannot be placed to middle point of curves (circular nodes).
The angle indicator will move to the new Fill End Point. The first point will be marked by cross.
Now right click anywhere on the Working Area to access another pop-up menu to finish the Fill object. Use Close and Finish Object command.
Studio will move the last point on boundary exactly on the top of the first point. The creation mode will end and the Transform tool will be activated automatically.
Click on the finished Fill object to select it. Then right click on the selected object to access menu. Use Generate Stitches command to compile object and generate actual stitches.
The finished Fill object with stitch at desired angle will be seen on the Working Area. The small icon of the newly created object will appear in the Object Inspector menu.
Now add an opening (hole) to this fill. Select the Fill Object button in tools panel again. The first point will appear automatically at place of Fill End Point. Grasp this point and move it to desired place.
Add new elements with series of left mouse clicks and form the closed-loop hole in the same way as the main fill. Then adjust the middle points of curves to make smooth edge. Right click anywhere on the Working Area to access pop-up menu and Close and Finish Object.
The creation mode will end and finished object appears. Stitches are erased, because there is a hole now and stitches must be recalculated. Select the object and right click on selection to display pop-up menu. Use Generate stitches command.
This is the fill with opening. The fill and its opening will be joined automatically into one item in Objects Inspector. In Part Inspector, each part will be visible and can be selected separately for transformation. Information about object size and number of stitches is displayed on status bar at bottom of the screen. If not satisfied with result, use the previous menu to return to editing mode and adjust the object.
