How to upgrade to Embird 2006 from previous version of Embird?
NEW MAIN PASSWORD IS REQUIRED:
Please note, that the upgrade from previous version of Embird (i.e. Embird
2004/2003/Plus/6.0 (16-bit)) to Embird 2006 is not free and you will have to purchase the new main registration password. Otherwise the new software will run only in demo mode. The registration numbers for plug-ins from previous Embird versions are valid in Embird 2006.
However, the plug-ins are not functional until you insert the new main registration password. In other words, if you are registered user of previous version of Embird, please note, that your plug-in registration numbers for Alphabets, Font Engine, Iconizer, Digitizing Studio, Sfumato Stitch and Cross Stitch will work also in Embird 2006. You only need to pay the upgrade fee for Embird 2006 (US $30 if you are upgrading from Embird 2003/2004), NOT again for plug-ins!
HOW TO PAY FOR UPGRADE?
Follow these steps if you want to pay for upgrade to Embird 2006 from Embird 2003/2004:
1. Run Embird 2004.
2. Click "Help > Order" menu. This will display a dialog box on the screen.
3. Check ON the "Upgrade to Embird 2006 from Embird 2003/2004" option.
4. If you want to purchase also some of new Alphabet plug-ins, switch ON the corresponding options.
5. Specify your e-mail address to the box at the bottom of the dialog box.
6. Click "Next" button. This will launch your Internet browser and open our payment page after a short while. Follow the steps from this page to continue.
In case the above steps do not work for you, please pay for the upgrade to Embird 2006 via our registration site.
INSTALLATION:
Follow these steps to install Embird 2006:
1. Download the installation files for Embird 2006 and for plug-ins you need (new Studio, new Alphabets) from download site.
2. Please note, that you don't have to uninstall current version of Embird - Embird 2004. Unless you specify otherwise, new Embird 2006 will be installed into different folder - into "C:\Program Files\Embird32". (However, you can still install into "C:\Embird32" folder if you don't want to keep Embird 2004 on your PC and you don't wish to install into "C:\Program Files\Embird32" folder. If you decide this way, don't forget to choose this folder during the installation process).
3. Before you start to install new Embird 2006, either uninstall Embird 2004 (via "Start > Programs > Embird 2004 > Uninstall Embird 2004" menu), or disable its Iconizer plug-in (run "Embird > Options > Iconizer Settings" menu, and click "Remove all" and "Remove all (Disable Iconizer for all)" buttons). 4. Install Embird 2006 by running its installation file via "Start -> Run" menu. More information is available in tutorial.
5. Install plug-ins (new Studio, new Alphabets) by running their installation files via "Start -> Run" menu. More information is available in tutorial.
